Welcome to TailBook. These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and us for using the platform. We have kept them clear and friendly on purpose — you should be able to understand what you are agreeing to. By creating an account or using TailBook, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use TailBook.
TailBook is operated by TailBook d.o.o., registered in Montenegro, at Trg Sunca br. 4, 85310 Budva. You can reach us at tailbookme@gmail.com or through the Support button in the app.
TailBook is a coordination platform for animal welfare, on the web and on mobile. With TailBook you can:
TailBook is a tool for coordination and transparency. It is not a veterinary service, a shelter, a broker, or a financial institution, and it does not give veterinary, legal, or financial advice.
To use most features you create an account with accurate information, and you verify your email. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you notice anything suspicious. You must be at least 16 to use TailBook.
We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to use TailBook for its intended purpose — coordinating and supporting animal welfare. You may not:

You keep ownership of the photos, notes, and records you contribute. By posting them, you:

TailBook works because people act in good faith. When you use it, you agree to:
If these rules are broken, we may warn you, remove content, or suspend or close the account — in serious cases, without prior notice.
If you create or represent an organization or provider on TailBook, you confirm you are authorised to do so and that its information is accurate. Some listings and roles are curated or verified by our team. Being present in the network does not imply our endorsement, and it does not by itself grant any financial capability.
TailBook includes a Capital Loop: organizations can submit a case for a specific animal, which is reviewed, approved, funded against a spending authority, supported by evidence, and closed with a recorded outcome.
Today, the payment execution layer is a clearly labelled sandbox — no real money moves through TailBook. The amounts, cases, and outcomes are real coordination records, but the card/payment step is a mock for demonstration. If and when real payment features launch, additional terms will apply and we will make them available before you use them.
Two principles matter here:
TailBook is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it stable and secure, but we cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error‑free, that information posted by users is accurate, or that any particular outcome (such as an adoption or a recovery) will happen. Interactions and decisions between users are their own responsibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TailBook d.o.o. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, for the actions of other users, or for decisions you make based on information in TailBook. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) for the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You can stop using TailBook at any time and delete your account in settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or that poses a risk to animals, people, or the platform. Some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy or as required by law.
Your privacy matters. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your use of TailBook. Please read it.
We may update these Terms as TailBook evolves. For significant changes we will give notice in the app and, where appropriate, by email before they take effect; minor updates are published here with a new date. Continuing to use TailBook after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Montenegro, without prejudice to mandatory consumer‑protection or data‑protection rights you have where you live. If a dispute arises, please contact us first — we will genuinely try to resolve it. If we cannot, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts of Montenegro, or, where the law gives you that right, the courts of your place of residence.
